Florence - Day 8

We had a delicious breakfast at our hotel, the Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti, which had been recommended by friends (as well as Rick Steves). It's a 16th-century monastery converted into a lovely and elegant hotel on a pretty square called Piazza S.S. Annuziata.

We had an 8:45 appointment at the Uffizi Gallery - and we sure were glad we did. The line for people without appointments was estimated at 3 hours! We spent a couple of hours in the museum.
